At Fundación Ávila Cruz A. C., we intervene based on our own comprehensive model that allows us to manage and implement community development projects that are participatory, inclusive and sustainable in indigenous communities focused on overcoming extreme poverty through five lines of action.

At Fundación Ávila Cruz, our intervention is carried out through the active and equitable participation of local authorities, municipal DIF systems, vulnerable groups, health and education committees, as well as women, youth, older adults and people with hearing disabilities in all stages of the projects, from planning to implementation and evaluation.
We incorporate traditional knowledge and local practices in our interventions to ensure that strategies are culturally appropriate and accepted by the community.
We involve key actors, such as grassroots organizations, government institutions and civil society organizations (CSOs), to consolidate local alliances and guarantee the sustainability of actions in the long term.
We implement sustainable agricultural practices and environmental conservation techniques in productive activities, in order to improve food security and strengthen resilience to climate change.
We create safe spaces for participation and empowerment for women, youth and people with disabilities, promoting their voice and leadership in community decision-making.
We train community leaders to conduct progress assessments, promoting accountability and strengthening community trust in our interventions.
We generate projects focused on providing training that allows the development of knowledge, individual and collective skills; We promote community organization and participation through workshops, courses, support, advice and the exchange of experiences to train agents of change and promote self-management.
In addition, we contribute to generating safe public spaces and improving the environment through participation in rehabilitation and intervention processes to strengthen the fabric and social cohesion.
We generate projects aimed at contributing to guaranteeing food security and improving the nutritional level in early childhood, women of childbearing age and in families through their participation in food production and exchange. of experiences; We intervene in the rescue, collection, selection and distribution of safe and nutritious food; and in training in food and nutrition education to reduce food insecurity, the level of severe or moderate malnutrition and promote healthy lifestyles.
We generate projects focused on preventing and providing top-level medical care, including the delivery of medications through community health days with general medicine, nutrition, physiotherapy, psychology, hearing, and oral services. and electrocardiogram for the well-being of the population.
Also, we contribute to improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene through the application of processes, methods, techniques and the execution of proposals that promote ecotechnology and ecotechnics, favoring the conservation of the environment to improve the health of the population.
We generate projects aimed at promoting and preserving music, dance, native languages, crafts, customs, traditions and nature tourism through training and actions adapted to the context of each ethnic group, cultural diversity and gender to rescue the indigenous worldviews, gastronomy, symbols and knowledge; and generate sustainable community development.
We generate projects focused on providing humanitarian aid in the face of natural disasters and emergencies through rescue actions, provision of food aid, health, nutrition and psychology services; training in risk mitigation, first aid and community resilience; and in the recovery phase we intervene with a community development approach to improve living conditions.
